Signs outlining our terms and conditions, including our tariffs, are installed at the entrance and at prominent places throughout the car park. CCTV camera(s) are installed facing the entrance and the exit of the car park.
When a motorist enters the car park and decides to park their vehicle, they have to choose from variable tariffs depending on the duration of their stay in the car park. For example, £1.50 for a 1 hour stay. If a motorist fails to make a tariff payment for their stay in the car park or they overstay in the car park, we make a record and regard this as a contravention.
GSP will then obtain the registered keeper's name and address of the contravening vehicle to send a Parking Charge Notice through the post.
A Parking Charge Notice will cost the contravening motorist £100, reduced to £60 if it is paid within 14 days. If after 28 days the Parking Charge Notice is unpaid, the cost to the contravening motorist rises to £170 and preparations for legal proceedings begin.
In the case where a Parking Charge Notice remains unpaid, GSP can obtain a County Court Judgement (CCJ) against a contravening motorist. A CCJ makes applying for credit very difficult as the debt is registered on their credit report.
Blue badge holders are exempt from parking tariffs for two hours. They must send in proof of their stay in the car park and blue badge to a dedicated email address found on our signs.
The CCTV camera is powered by a solar panel, so no power source is required. The camera(s) and signs are owned and controlled by GSP.
GSP will pay 50% of all revenues to the car park owner, on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. The revenue payment basis will be decided by the car park owner before the start of the contract and can be changed at anytime.
Revenues come from tariffs and parking charge notices. We will attain further details from you before signing and exchanging contracts. Live' start date for enforcement to begin is usually within 7 days of exchanging contracts.
We look forward to working with you, and thank you for choosing GSP to operate an enforcement service on your behalf.
